quencyoption. SymbolRate stands for data transfer rate, and
QAM is a form of modulation used in digital broadcasting.
Broadcastingoperators send their services in a symbol rate by
amodulation method. Perhapsyou do not have to specify the
Symbol Rate and QAM Mode options since they are seldom
changed. However, you should set the QAM Mode option to
Autofor more certainty. You can specify the Start Frequency,
End Frequency and Symbol Rate options with the numeric
buttonsif you want to change them.
Ifthe digital receiver have failed to find every service you want
ina service search, you should set the Search Mode option to
Network. With this option, the digital receiver will check up
theup-to-date channel information as searching services, but it
takesrather longer time.
Tosearch only one frequency, set the Search Mode option to
Manualand specify your desired frequency at the Frequency
optionwith the numeric buttons. Inthis case, you had better
setthe Network Searchoption to On.
Itis most recommended that you should set the Search Mode
optionto Quick Scan. Withthis option, you can search every
servicerather quickly.
Youcan search pay services as well as free services as follows:
Tosearch only freeservices, set the FTA/Scrambled option
toFTA only.
Tosearch both free services and pay services, set it to FTA
+CAS.
Tostart service search, select the Start Search item; then a list
boxappears, in which found services will be listed. Whenit has
completed,press the
OK
buttonto save found services. Tostop
atany time or to exit without saving, press the
EXIT button.
