Using the LOCKS menu

The LOCKS menu includes the V-Chip, CH Lock, Video Lock, and New PIN Code functions. You can use these functions after entering the correct PIN code.

Entering the PIN code

1.Press MENU, and then press x or • until the LOCKS menu appears.

2. Press y or z to display the PIN code entering mode:

The V-Chip function is only available for the U.S. V-Chip system. The Canadian V-Chip system (Puce-V) is not supported.

•BLOCKING RESET status:

Press the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to store a new

4-digit PIN code, and then press

ENTER.

•BLOCKING ACTIVE status (when the PIN code is already stored):

Press the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to enter the

4-digit PIN code you previously stored, and then press ENTER.

If the wrong PIN code is entered, the message “Incorrect” will appear. Enter the code again.

3. When the PIN code is entered, the LOCKS menu opens.

If you cannot remember your PIN code

While the PIN code entering screen is displayed, press RECALL four times within 5 seconds. The PIN code you stored will be released (returned to BLOCKING RESET status).
