Note:
To hear sound when using an external audio amplifier, the volume of both the TV and the amplifier must be set above 0 (zero). If the volume of one is set to 0, you will not be able to hear any sound, even the volume of the other is at its highest setting.

Connecting an A/V receiver

This connection allows you to use an audio/video (A/V) receiver to enhance your TV’s sound.
If you have a system with Dolby Pro Logic® surround sound, you can use the TV’s internal speakers as center channel speakers, which will add to the realism of the sound.
You will need:
•one pair of audio cables
•one single audio cable for the audio center channel
•one video cable

Note:
Refer to the instructions provided with your A/V receiver for details about your surround sound system.
When the Audio Center Channel ON/OFF switch is in the ON position, the TV speakers will function only as center channel speakers.
Adjust the volume for the center channel speakers using the center level control on the A/V receiver.
To use the TV speakers as normal speakers, set the Audio Center Channel ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
