System Setup
NICAM programmes are divided into 3 types. NICAM
Stereo, NICAM Mono and Bilingual (transmission in
another language). NICAM programmes are always
accompanied by a standard mono sound broadcast and
you can select the desired sound by setting NICAM on
or off.

With the unit in Stop mode, press the
MENU button on the remote.

Select “Setup” using †… buttons, then
press the or OK button.

Using the †… buttons, move the
selection bar to “System” then press
or OK button to select.

Using the †… buttons, move the
selection bar to “NICAM” then press
or OK button to select.

Using the †… and OK buttons, select
“On” or “Off”.
Off: Only set at this position to record the standard
mono sound during a NICAM broadcast if the stereo
sound is distorted due to inferior reception conditions.
On: NICAM mode

If you connect external device (VCR/satellite receiver/
cable box) or TV to DVDRecoder with Scart
Jack(21pin), you need to set this options.

Using the †… buttons, move the
selection bar to “AV1 Output” then press
or OK button to select.

Using the †… and OK buttons, select
“Video” or “RGB” to suit the AV terminal
of TV.
AV2 input option will be set automatically according to
the signal of external device (VCR/satellite
receiver/cable box).
