Silencer—

TheymustbeconnectedtotheQ

connectorbuttheycanbeeither
rigidorflexconnectedtothe
SuperQfans.Silencersaresized

collars.Thesupportstructurefor
silencersandflexconnectorsare
providedbytheinstaller.
Inletsilencer— hasafixedcenter
bodyandshouldbeattachedas
perabovedescription.Theairflow
arrowonthesilencershouldfollow
thedirectionoftheairflow
indicatedontheQFan.
Outletsilencer— hasamovable
cylinder.Theinnercylinderhas
eithersheetmetalscrewsoris
spotwelded.Removethesheet
metalscrewsfromthesilencer
centerbodyorbreakthespot
weldswithachiselandhammer.
Thecenterbodymustthenbe
repositionedclosetotheendcap
ofthefan(nomorethanoneinch
fromtheendcap).Securethe
silencercenterbodywithsheet
metalscrewsandconnectwiththe
fanusingconnectorsasperabove
description.
Theairflowarrowonthesilencer
shouldfollowthedirectionofthe
airflowindicatedontheQFan.
