SELECTING THE OVEN

lTo operate the oven turn the oven temperature control to the required setting.

THINGS TO NOTE

1.The oven indicator light will glow until the oven has reached the required temperature and then go out. It will cycle ON and OFF periodically during cooking showing that the temperature is being maintained.

TO FIT THE OVEN SHELF

The shelf should be fitted with the straight rods uppermost on the frame and the forms towards the back of the oven. If not fitted correctly the anti-tilt and safety stop mechanism will be affected.

lHINTS AND TIPS

Arrange the shelf in the required position before switching the oven ON. Shelf positions are numbered from the bottom upwards.

Only cook food or place dishes on the single shelf provided.

Where a single dish is to be cooked place it

lcentrally on the oven shelf.

For your safety DO NOT withdraw the oven shelf when removing food/dishes from the oven.

lThe oven is fitted with elements at the top and bottom of the cavity.

Do not line any part of the oven with aluminium foil as it may cause damage or interfere with the air circulation.

For best results always:-

Preheat the oven until the indicator neon goes out.

For economy leave the oven door open for the shortest possible time particularly when placing

lfood into a pre-heated oven.

Do not place baking trays or dishes directly on the oven floor as it interferes with the oven air circulation and can lead to base burning; use the

llower shelf position.

The use of excessively high temperatures can cause uneven browning. It may be necessary to reduce temperatures slightly. Refer to the recommendations given in the oven cooking chart, see page 16.
