Owner's Manual Addendum to #93-1424

SmartPro® 700 HG

Hospital-Grade, Intelligent

Line-Interactive UPS System (120V)

ESPAÑOL: p. 1-2

FRANÇAIS: p. 2

The SmartPro 700 HG systems described in this addendum has the same features and controls as the SmartPro 700 system described in the accompanying owner's manual. However, it is a true hospital-grade system that meets the UL 544 standard for medical and dental equipment.

Hospital Grade Specifications: The SmartPro 700 HG exceeds the requirements of Underwriter's Laboratories Standard 544. UL 544 describes the low-leakage electrical characteristics required of medical and dental equipment used in patient care areas. It specifies a maximum leakage current of 300 microamps. The SmartPro 700 HG incorporates on-line transformer isolation, and is designed to exhibit less than 100 microamps leakage to ground. The SmartPro 700 HG's inverter, which incorporates a double-pole line disconnect, operates during AC power failures and extreme voltage events and is designed to maintain the low leakage level specified by UL 544.

Warning: Tripp Lite does not recommend the use of any of its UPS Systems in any life support applications in which a malfunction or failure of a Tripp Lite UPS System could cause failure or significantly alter the performance of a life-support device.

700 HG specifications

Tripp Lite 700 HG is a versatile and reliable power inverter, designed to convert DC power from a vehicle’s battery into AC power for various electronic devices and appliances. This model is engineered for those who require portable power solutions, making it ideal for road trips, camping, and emergency backup situations.

One of the standout features of the Tripp Lite 700 HG is its ability to deliver a continuous output of 700 watts, with a peak surge capacity of 1400 watts. This generous power output can handle a wide range of electronics, from laptops and tablets to small appliances like TVs and pumps. With two AC outlets available, users can power multiple devices simultaneously, ensuring convenience and efficiency.

The inverter employs pure sine wave technology, which is crucial for sensitive electronics. Unlike modified sine wave inverters, pure sine wave inverters provide a smoother and cleaner power output, making them compatible with a wider array of devices, including those with complex electronic circuitry. This feature helps to protect valuable equipment from potential damage caused by unstable power sources.

Additionally, the Tripp Lite 700 HG is equipped with built-in safety features, such as overload protection, short-circuit protection, and thermal protection. These mechanisms help to ensure safe operation, preventing damage to both the inverter and connected devices. The compact design and lightweight construction make it easy to transport and handle, while the built-in cooling fan ensures efficient heat management during operation.

The user-friendly design of the Tripp Lite 700 HG includes LED indicators that display power and fault status, providing real-time feedback on the inverter’s performance. The inverter is also equipped with a wired remote control, allowing users to manage power access from a distance, enhancing convenience, especially when used in larger vehicles such as RVs.

In conclusion, the Tripp Lite 700 HG stands out as a reliable and efficient power inverter that meets the needs of mobile power users. Its combination of continuous power output, pure sine wave technology, and safety features makes it an excellent choice for powering sensitive electronics and appliances safely and effectively. Whether for leisure activities or emergency situations, the Tripp Lite 700 HG is a dependable companion for on-the-go power needs.
