Fuse Holder
•Use the supplied hardware to mount the fuse holder securely. Mount within 12 inches (304.8 mm) of the battery.
Fuse
•Remove the nuts (total of 2) from the fuse holder studs and install the supplied fuse.
•Note: For PV1800HF use 250A fuse; for PV3000HF use 500A fuse.
Longer Positive Cable
•Install the cable lug onto the fuse holder stud, reinstall the nut and tighten to 10.0
•Route the cable to the inverter, cut to length, strip the end, attach it to the inverter’s POSITIVE (+) connection and tighten to 2.58
Shorter Positive Cable (Note: The cable has two different size battery lugs.)
•Install the cable lug with the smaller hole onto the other fuse holder stud, reinstall the remaining nut and tighten to 10.0
•Install the cable lug with the larger hole onto the battery’s POSITIVE (+) connection and tighten securely.
Negative Cable
•Position the negative battery cable near the negative battery post, but DO NOT install at this time.
•Route the cable to the inverter, cut to length, strip the end, attach it to the inverter’s NEGATIVE
•Install the negative cable lug onto the battery’s NEGATIVE
Inverter Ground Connection
•Install the supplied ground lug to provide a chassis ground.
•Route the 8 AWG (3.264 mm) ground wire from the inverter’s main ground lug to the chassis ground lug.
•Provide a strain relief loop in the ground wire.
