The limited warran ty set forth below is gi ven by Troy-Bilt LLC with
respect to new mercha ndise purchased and used i n the United States
and/or its terr itories and possessi ons, and by MTD Products L imited
with respect to new me rchandise purchased an d used in Canada and/
or its territories a nd possessions (eithe r entity respect ively, “Troy-
Bilt”).
“Troy-Bilt” warrant s this product (excluding i ts Normal Wear Parts
and Attachments as describe d below) against defect s in material and
workmanship for a period o f two (2) years commenci ng on the date
of original purchase an d will, at its option, repa ir or replace, free of
charge, any part foun d to be defective in mater ials or workmanship.
This limited warran ty shall only apply if th is product has been
operated and maint ained in accordance wi th the Operator’s Manual
furnished with the pro duct, and has not been subje ct to misuse,
abuse, commercial use, n eglect, accident, impr oper maintenance,
alteration, vanda lism, theft, fire, wat er, or damage because of other
peril or natural disas ter. Damage resulting from th e installation or use
of any part, acces sory or attachmen t not approved by Troy-Bilt for use
with the product( s) covered by this manual w ill void your warranty as
to any resulting damage .
Normal Wear Parts are warrante d to be free from defects in m aterial
and workmanship for a peri od of thirty (30) d ays from the date of
purchase. Normal wear p arts include, but are no t limited to items
such as: batteries, belts, blades, blade adapters, tines, grass bags,
wheels, rider deck wh eels, seats, snow thrower s kid shoes, friction
wheels, shave plates , auger spiral rubber and tire s.
Attachments — Troy-Bilt warrants atta chments for this product
against defects in m aterial and workmanshi p for a period of one (1)
year, commencing on the date of t he attachment’s ori ginal purchase
or lease. Attachm ents include, but are not limi ted to items such as:
grass collectors a nd mulch kits.

This limited warran ty does not provide coverage in the following
cases:
a. The engin e or component parts th ereof. These items may ca rry a
separate manufacturer’s warranty. Refer to applicable manufac-
turer’s warranty f or terms and conditions.
b. Log splitt er pumps, valves, and cylind ers have a separate one-
year warranty.
c. Routine m aintenance items such as l ubricants, filter s, blade
sharpening, tune-ups, b rake adjustments, clu tch adjustments,
deck adjustments, an d normal deterioratio n of the exterior finish
due to use or exposure.
d. Service completed by someone other than an authorized service
deale r.
e. Troy-Bilt does n ot extend any warran ty for products sold or
exported outsid e of the United States an d/or Canada, and th eir
respective posse ssions and territorie s, except those sold throug h
Troy-Bilt’s authorized ch annels of export distr ibution.
f. Replacement p arts that are not genui ne Troy-Bilt parts.
g. Transportat ion charges and servi ce calls.
h. Troy-Bilt does not war rant this product for comm ercial use.
No implied warrant y, including any implied warr anty of
merchantabilit y or fitness for a par ticular purpose, appli es after
the applicable period o f express writ ten warranty abo ve as to the
parts as identi fied. No other expres s warranty, whet her written or
oral, except as menti oned above, given by any per son or entity,
including a dealer or ret ailer, with respect to an y product, shall
bind Troy-Bilt. During t he period of the warran ty, the exclusive
remedy is repair or r eplacement of the pro duct as set forth ab ove.
The provisions as s et forth in this war ranty provide t he sole and
exclusive remedy a rising from the sale. Troy- Bilt shall not be liable
for incidental or con sequential loss or da mage including, withou t
limitation, expens es incurred for sub stitute or replac ement lawn
care service s or for rental expens es to temporarily r eplace a
warranted product.
Some states do not allow t he exclusion or limitation o f incidental
or consequential dama ges, or limitations on how lo ng an implied
warranty last s, so the above exclusions or limi tations may not apply
to you.
In no event shall recover y of any kind be greater tha n the amount of
the purchase price of t he product sold. Alteration of s afety features of
the product shall void this warrant y. You assume the risk and liabilit y
for loss, damage, or injur y to you and your property a nd/or to others
and their propert y arising out of the misuse or in ability to use the
product.
This limited warran ty shall not extend to a nyone other than the
original purchaser or to t he person for whom it was pur chased as a
gift.
HOW STATE LAW RELATES TO THIS WARRANTY: This limited
warranty gives yo u specific legal right s, and you may also have other
rights which var y from state to state.
IMPORTANT: Owner must present Original Proo f of Purchase to
obtain warranty coverage.
