The limited warrant y set forth below is give n by Troy-Bilt LLC with
respect to new merchandis e purchased and used in the U nited States
and/or its territ ories and possessions , and by MTD Products Lim ited
with respect to new merch andise purchased and us ed in Canada
and/or its territ ories and possessions ( either entity re spectively,
“Troy-Bilt”).
“Troy-Bilt” warrants t his product (excluding i ts Normal Wear Parts
and Attachments as described be low) against defect s in material and
workmanship for a period of t wo (2) years commencing o n the date
of original purchase and wil l, at its option, repair or r eplace, free of
charge, any part found to be d efective in materia ls or workmanship.
This limited warrant y shall only apply if this pr oduct has been
operated and maintain ed in accordance with t he Operator’s Manual
furnished with the produc t, and has not been subjec t to misuse,
abuse, commercial use, negle ct, accident, improp er maintenance,
alteration, vandalism , theft, fire, water, or dam age because of other
peril or natural disaste r. Damage resulting from the ins tallation or
use of any part, access ory or attachmen t not approved by Troy-Bilt
for use with the product (s) covered by this manual w ill void your
warranty as to any resu lting damage.
Normal Wear Parts are warranted to be f ree from defects in ma terial
and workmanship for a period o f thirty (30) day s from the date of
purchase. Normal wear par ts include, but are not lim ited to items
such as: batteries, b elts, blades, blade ad apters, tines, gras s bags,
wheels, rider deck wheels , seats, snow thrower ski d shoes, friction
wheels, shave plates, auge r spiral rubber and tires.
Attachments — Troy-Bilt warran ts attachments f or this product
against defects in mate rial and workmanship for a p eriod of one (1)
year, commencing on the date of the at tachment’s origin al purchase
or lease. Attachment s include, but are not limit ed to items such as:
grass collectors and mul ch kits.

PROOF OF PURCHASE, through your l ocal authorized ser vice dealer.

This limited warrant y does not provide coverag e in the following
cases:
a. The engine or comp onent parts there of. These items may carr y a
separate manufactur er’s warranty. Refer to ap plicable manufact ur-
er’s warranty for terms an d conditions.
b. Log splitter pumps , valves, and cylinder s have a separate one-
year warranty.
c. Routine maint enance items such as lubr icants, filters, b lade
sharpening, tune-ups, br ake adjustments, clut ch adjustments,
deck adjustments, and nor mal deterioration of t he exterior finish
due to use or exposure.
d. Service compl eted by someone other tha n an authorized serv ice
dealer.
e. Troy-Bilt does not e xtend any warrant y for products sold or
exported outside of th e United States and /or Canada, and their
respective possess ions and territories, e xcept those sold through
Troy-Bilt’s authorized chann els of export distri bution.
f. Replacement parts that are not g enuine Troy-Bilt parts.
g. Transportation c harges and service c alls.
h. Troy-Bilt does not warr ant this product for comme rcial use.
No implied warranty, inclu ding any implied warran ty of
merchantability o f fitness for a par ticular purpose, applie s after
the applicable period of exp ress written w arranty above a s to the
parts as identified. N o other express wa rranty, whether w ritten or
oral, except as mentioned a bove, given by any pers on or entity,
including a dealer or retaile r, with respect to any pr oduct, shall
bind Troy-Bilt. During the pe riod of the warrant y, the exclusive
remedy is repair or repla cement of the produc t as set forth abov e.
The provisions as set f orth in this warr anty provide the s ole and
exclusive remedy aris ing from the sale. Troy-Bil t shall not be liable
for incidental or conse quential loss or damage i ncluding, without
limitation, expenses i ncurred for subs titute or replaceme nt lawn
care services or fo r rental expenses t o temporarily repl ace a
warranted produc t.
Some states do not allow the ex clusion or limitation of in cidental
or consequential damages , or limitations on how long a n implied
warranty lasts, s o the above exclusions or limit ations may not apply
to you.
In no event shall recovery o f any kind be greater than t he amount of
the purchase price of the pro duct sold. Alteration of safe ty features of
the product shall void this warranty. You assume th e risk and liability
for loss, damage, or injury to you a nd your property and /or to others
and their property ari sing out of the misuse or inabi lity to use the
product.
This limited warrant y shall not extend to anyo ne other than the
original purchaser or to the pe rson for whom it was purch ased as a
gift.
HOW STATE LAW RELATES TO THIS WARRANTY: This limited
warranty gives you spe cific legal rights, a nd you may also have other
rights which vary fro m state to state.
