Installing SECC2 CPUs -Option 1

The following are alternative methods of installing the CPU and retention module to that of chapter 2. On both sides of the SECC2 CPU reside the lower tabs of the aluminum heat sink (see Figure A below). These tabs should snap into the retention module. Currently, the retention module recommended for securing the SECC2 CPU is included in the motherboard package. The reten- tion brace consists of a foldable bracket that secures the CPU. (See Figure B on the following page)
