CARE AND CLEANING
Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure efficiency, top performance, and long life. We suggest the following:
•The interior may be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water.
•Avoid the use of solvent cleaning agents or abrasives on the interior. These cleansers may transmit taste to the ice cubes and food, or damage or discolor the interior.
•The exterior may be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water.
•The front grille should be kept free of dust and lint to permit free
air flow to the condenser (see |
|
Figure 41). The condenser coil, |
|
located behind the front grille, |
|
should be cleaned three to four |
|
times each year. Use a brush or |
|
vacuum cleaner to remove dirt, | UL005A |
lint and other accumulations | Figure 41 |
from the condenser coil. |
!
The condenser fins are SHARP. DO NOT run hands over condenser fins.
The solenoid valve inlet screen must be cleaned at least once each year as follows:
1.Shut off the water at the water supply valve.
2.Remove the entire hose con- nector from the solenoid valve.
3.Use a tooth brush to clean sediment from the inlet screen
| (see Figure 42). DO NOT |
| remove the screen. |
| 4. Attach the hose connector to |
| the solenoid valve. Tighten con- |
| nector securely with a pliers. |
UL123 | Open the water supply valve |
