Battery Installation

To install batteries, hold the case in the position shown. Drop the batteries one by one into the case in the order shown. Make sure that the

(+)end of the battery is down for 1 and 2 and up for batter- ies 3 and 4. Next insert the lamp module into the case. Place the bezel over the lamp module and screw it onto the case.

eLED Lamp Module

The eLED module is an inte- grated unit. There are no replaceable parts . In addi- tion to the LED itself, the module contains an electron- ic circuit which helps to maintain constant brightness as the batteries are dis- charged. Flashlights with standard filament lamps loose brightness steadily as the batteries are consumed.

Beam In And Out-Of-Water The front element of the Projection Optics System allows the 13° out-of-water beam angle to expand to almost 20° in-water for hotspot free illumination of close-up subjects. The high color temperature or daylight quality of the light beam allows light to travel farther underwater, due to less absorption than that which occurs with light from stan- dard filament lamps.

O-Ring Seal

The O-ring and sealing sur- faces must be kept clean and lubricated with silicone grease in order to maintain the watertight seal and smooth rotation of the bezel. During cleaning remove the O-ring with your fingers. Do

UK International agrees to repair or replace at UK International' sole discretion any product found to be defective in material or work- manship within the time peri- od specified above. >Load batteries according to the diagram.

>Discard all batteries as soon as they are drained or no longer produce light.

>Do not mix batteries of different type, brand or age.

Care and Maintenance

■Keep area around the O-ring clean.

■If the light floods, empty it immediately, rinse with fresh water and dry com- pletely before reassembly.

■Replace the reflector/lamp, which con- tains a hydrogen absorbing catalyst, if it gets wet.

■Do not store batteries in the light for long periods of time; they may leak and damage the light.

To operate the Mini Q40 eLED Plus screw the bezel down by twisting clockwise until the lamp comes ON. Turn the light OFF with at least 1-1/2 counter-clockwise turns of the bezel.
