Battery Memory Effect

Rechargeable batteries can develop a “memory” (reduced charge capacity) caused by repeated
charge and discharge cycles. The battery life will seem to be shorter every time you use the unit.

To Avoid Memory Effect

At least once a month, operate the unit until the “Battery Low” indicator appears. Avoid “topping off”
the charge after using the phone for a short time. Also, do not charge the Rechargeable Battery for
extended periods of time.
Setting the Pulse/Tone Switch
Be sure the Pulse/Tone switch is in the tone position.
Note: Most phone systems are tone dialing.
Check
wifh
your local phone company if you are not sure whether your system is tone
or pulse dialing.
