8.LANTERN LIGHT

The lantern light comprises three lights in one. The spotlight provides a bright focused light. A bright long lasting fluorescent lamp provides general area lighting. A three- position slide switch turns the fluorescent light on and off. This switch also turns a three- LED emergency flasher on and off.

The main quartz-halogen spotlight is controlled on and off by a latching trigger switch on the handle.

The lantern light is powered by either the 12 volt battery pack or the 12 volt DC power adapter.

A 12 volt DC accessory socket is located on the side of the unit. This permits cell phone recharging or operating other 12 volt DC appliances. If the battery pack is installed (3 Amp hour 12 volt battery or 36 watt hours), appliance wattage should be limited to prevent rapid battery rundown.

8.1PARTS REPLACEMENT LANTERN LIGHT

Replaceable parts for the lantern light are:

8.2QUARTZ HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENT

The bulb is a 15 watt, 12 volt G4 projection type. This type bulb has two connector pins that plug into a socket. The procedure follows:

1.Unscrew the bezel (counterclockwise) and remove the bezel and lens.

2.Hold the reflector in place against the body of the lamp and pull the bulb straight out. Note the location of two socket holes that accept the bulb pins.

3.Unpack the new bulb. Using a clean cloth, remove it from the packing material. NOTE: Do not touch the new bulb with bare hands; oil from fingers can cause premature failure of these bulbs. If the bulb is touched, clean the bulb with alcohol on a clean cloth after the bulb is installed.
