Dual-Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF). Signaling by the simultaneous transmission of two tones, one from a group of low frequencies and another from a group of high frequencies. Each group of frequencies consists of four frequencies. Setting Key Beep length to Long will extend the DTMF

tone. Press MENU, then and press .

Using select Long. Press Soft Key 1 Ok .

Key Volume (Menu )

Adjust the key beep volume (made when pressing the key).

Earpiece Volume (Menu )

Adjust the earpiece volume during a call by pressing the Side Keys.

Alerts (Menu )

One of the four Alert options could be turned on.

Press Soft Key 1 Menu . Press Sound. Press Alerts.

Check each option and turn it off if desired.

1.Fade (Menu )

Set an alert to inform you when you have lost a call or lose services.

2.Minute (Menu )

Alerts you 10 seconds before the end of every minute during a call.

3.Service (Menu )

If on, alerts you when service changes.

When you enter a service area, the phone displays Entering Service Area message.

When you leave a service area, the phone displays Leaving Service Area message.

4.Call Connect (Menu )

Alert tone notifies the user of the time when the call is connected.

Backlight (Menu )

Choose the settings of the LCD and keypad backlight. 10 seconds turns the backlight off 10 seconds after the last key was pressed. 30 seconds turns the backlight off 30 seconds after the last key was pressed. On When Cellcase open means that the backlight is always on while cellcase is open. Always off means that the backlight is never on.

Banner (Menu )

Press Soft Key 1 Menu .

Then press Display. Press Banner. Press Soft Key 1 Opt . Select Edit. Then enter the string of characters you want to be displayed (up to 16 characters). Then press Soft Key 1 Save .
