1 – Power Cord Input

2 – Fuse Socket (use only the supplied fuse or one that is the same type and rating only!)

3 – Master Power Switch

4High-Level Inputs: This input derives the signal directly from the amplifiers output. This should be used when the Phono (RCA) – Plug inputs are not available.

5– Phono (RCA) – Plug Inputs: This is the most common connection input that derives the signal either from the pre-amplifiers output or the subwoofer output of an audio video pro-cessor/receiver.

Attention: If only one Phono (RCA) – Plug connection is used for the subwoofer output of an audio/video processor/ receiver, it does not matter which, either left or right, input you use. If you have a need for additional gain, it may be necessary to use a Y- Adapter to use both Left and Right labeled inputs.

6 – Adjustable Crossover (Frequency) Control: The crossover point is determined by listening. Where this ultimately sets up best is determined by the in-room performance of your main loudspeakers unless the Principal Grand is being used exclusively for LFE. In such an application the crossover should be set to the highest point, thus relying exclusively on the base control available through your audio video processor/receiver.

Principal Grand specifications

Vienna Acoustics, a renowned name in the high-fidelity audio industry, has long been celebrated for its exceptional loudspeakers that combine artistry with cutting-edge technology. One of the standout models in their lineup is the Principal Grand, a speaker that epitomizes the brand's commitment to delivering an unparalleled listening experience.

The Principal Grand features a beautifully crafted cabinet that not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also plays a crucial role in sound quality. Made from high-density MDF with a luxurious veneer finish, the cabinet is both rigid and inert, minimizing unwanted vibrations that can color the sound. This meticulous attention to detail in construction ensures that the audio produced is true to the original recording.

At the heart of the Principal Grand’s performance is its innovative driver technology. The speaker employs advanced drivers, including a 12-inch woofer designed to deliver deep, controlled bass response. This is complemented by a 4-inch midrange driver that excels in reproducing vocals and instrumentals with precision and clarity. Additionally, the unique D'Appolito configuration, where the midrange and tweeter are aligned vertically, ensures a coherent soundstage and broad imaging, allowing listeners to engage fully with the music.

One of the key technologies integrated into the Principal Grand is the proprietary Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter. This driver design enables the reproduction of high frequencies with remarkable accuracy and detail, offering a transient response that is often described as "effortless." The AMT tweeter also provides a wider listening area, making it easier to enjoy the exceptional sound even from off-axis positions.

The Principal Grand's crossover network has been meticulously engineered to ensure seamless integration between drivers, resulting in a coherent and balanced sound. Components in the crossover have been carefully selected for their quality, contributing to the overall fidelity of the speaker.

Furthermore, the Principal Grand is designed to be versatile, capable of fitting seamlessly into various audio setups, whether for hi-fi stereo listening or as part of a multi-channel home theater system. Its sensitivity rating allows for compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers, ensuring consumers can achieve optimal performance regardless of their existing equipment.

In summary, the Vienna Acoustics Principal Grand stands as a remarkable achievement in loudspeaker design. With its combination of aesthetic elegance, advanced technologies, and superior audio performance, it is an ideal choice for audiophiles seeking not just a speaker, but a gateway to an immersive musical experience.
