Vortex Heat® 600 (TVH 600)

The TVH 600 features Vornado’s signature Vortex Technology to provide efficient circulation of heat throughout the entire room. The TVH

600 works by creating a tornado-like beam of air that projects across the room until reaching a barrier, returning around the perimeter of the room to be recirculated. This results in an even temperature throughout the room and surrounds you in a “blanket of warmth.” This is unlike most space heaters, that heat the space directly in front of the unit and provide limited to no circulation - allowing the heat to

simply rise to the ceiling.

Safety Features

The TVH 600 incorporates multiple safety devices and systems. These features include: Durable Construction

Resists curious fingers.

Automatic Tip-Over Protection

Heater automatically shuts off if it is tipped over. Automatic Safety Shut-Off System

The TVH 600 has a multi-level safety shut-off system designed to prevent overheating. Overheating may occur if the inlet or outlet is blocked, a foreign object prevents the blade from turning, or the appliance tips over. If this happens, the safety shut-off system will cut power to the heat element and you will need to manually reset the unit. This shut-off system also has a back-up one-shot fuse for added protection. (See Resetting the Unit below)

Ideal Exit Air Temperature

Approximately 120° F; warm enough to heat an entire room and is the temperature of the exit air in most central forced air heating systems.

Non-Glowing, Thermostatically Controlled Heating Element

Even on HIGH, the heat element does not glow. Non-glowing heating elements are safer and longer lasting.

Resetting the Unit

1.Unplug the unit.

2.Remove any obstructions.

3.Wait 5-10 minutes.

4.Plug in heater and press the POWER button. The unit should now function normally.

If the safety shut-off system repeatedly shuts off your heater, or if it will not reset after following the above procedure, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT. Call Vornado Consumer Service Department toll free at 1-800-234-0604.
