Make sure your phone’s packaging includes the following:

STEP 3 Battery installation

1. A lign the two holes in the plu g wi th t he s ocket pins,
then s nap the plug into place. P lace th e batter y in the
compartment with t he wires in the upper right c orner.
2. R eplace cover by s liding it upwards until it clicks into
place.

STEP 4 Charge the battery

1. Pla ce the handset in the base un it/chargers.
2. Chargethebatteryf oratleast16hoursbeforerstuse.

Plug the power adaptor into an electrical outlet not controlled
by a wall switch, and the connector into the power jack on
bottom of the telephone base/chargers.
NOTE:
• Use only the power adaptor s supplied with your
VTech telephone.

STEP 5 Connect to phone line

Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the telephone line
jack at the bottom of the telephone base. Then plug the other
end of the cord into the wall telephone outlet.

STEP 6 Making and receiving calls

Making a call
• Press or SPEAKER and listen for dial tone.

STEP 7 Set the Clock

1. Press TIME /SET to listen to the curr ent setting.
2. Press TIME /SET again to indicate c hanges needed.
3. Press CHANG E to change the day, hour, minute, or year.
4. When you hear th e corr ect set ting, press TIME/SE T to
advance to the next sett ing.
Hanging up
Press OFF or place the
handset in its base.

STEP 8 Record your outgoing announcement

1. Press SET UP, the system anno unces “Announce ment.
Press PLAY or press RECORD. To co ntinue setup, press
SETUP.”
2. Press REC/ MEMO and speak toward the MI C on the base
to record an announcem ent for up to 90 seconds.
3. Press PLAY/STOP / (whennishedrecor ding).
• Dial the ph one number.

Receiving a call
