SERVICEREPLACING THE LINE
SDisconnectunit fromthe p owersource.
SRemove the spool by firmlypulling on
the tapbu tton.
SCleanentire surface of hub and spool.
SReplacewith a pre-wound spool, or cut a
length of 30 feet of 0.065 diameter
WEEDEATER brandline. Use of heavi-
er line could overload and damage the
unit. Never use wire, rope,string, etc.,
which can break offand become a dan-
gerous missile.
SInsertone end of the line about 1/2 inch
(1cm) into the small slot inside the spool.

SWind the line evenly and tightlyonto
the spool. Wind inthe direction of the
arrowfound on the spool.
SPush the line intothe notch, leaving 3
to 5 inches (7--12 cm) unwound.
SInsert the line into the exit hole in the
hub as shown in the illustration.

SAlignthe notch with the line exit hole.
SPush the spool into the hub until it
snaps into place, while keeping light
tensionon the end of the line.
SPullon the line extending outside ofthe
hubto release it from the notch; other-
wise,the unit will not function properly.
STORAGEWARNING: Perform the following
steps aftereach use.
SStopthe unit and disconnect the power
source when not inuse.
SCarrythe unit with motor stopped.
SStore the unitso the line limiter blade
cannot cause injury.
SStore unitand extension cord indoors
in a high,dry place out of the reach of
children.Store unit unplugged.
SStoreunit withall guards in place. Posi-
tion unitso that any sharp object can-
not accidentallycause injury.
