Cleaning Your Percolator

1.Unplug percolator from electrical outlet and disconnect cord from percolator. Allow the percolator to cool completely before cleaning.

2.Wash and rinse inside of percolator, cover, spreader, stem and basket with hot soapy water after each use and dry thoroughly. The heating unit well must be properly cleaned after each use to maintain proper operation. DO NOT IMMERSE THE PERCOLATOR IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS AS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.

3.Wipe outside surface with damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleansers as scratching and/or discoloration will occur.

To Remove Mineral Deposit Build-Up

If the percolator is used daily, a build-up of mineral deposits may occur. To clean, fill percolator with 30 ounces of cold water and 30 ounces of white vinegar. Assemble with stem, basket, spreader and cover. Plug in and let percolator go through entire perk cycle. When perking has stopped, let unit sit for 15 minutes. Unplug and drain liquid. Allow to cool and follow regular cleaning instructions to remove all vinegar traces from percolator.
