Safety Precautions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including:
•Read all instructions, including these important safeguards and the care and use instructions in this manual.
•Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
•The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Focus Electrics may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
•Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades or discs while processing food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food pro- cessor. A scraper may be used, but must be used only when the food proces- sor is not running.
•Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
•To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade or slice/shred disc on base without first putting container properly in place.
•Always be sure cover is securely locked in place before operating appliance.
•Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.
•Never feed food by hand. Always use food pusher.
•Always avoid contacting moving parts.
•Do not operate if the appliance is not working properly or if it has been dam- aged in any manner. For service information see warranty page.
•Do not attempt to repair this appliance yourself.
•Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off attach- ments, and before cleaning.
