Location Requirements
Good air circulation is needed for best performance - allow at least

Keep all outside doors, windows and other openings closed when operating dehumidifier. Humid outdoor air will increase dehumidifier workload.

Install dehumidifier on a level floor strong enough to support the dehumidifier with a full bucket of water.
Install your dehumidifier in an area where the temperature will not fall below the minimum operating temperature for your control type. Lower temperatures will cause your performance to drop.
If you have Control type “A”:
If ice forms on coils, unplug dehumidifier until ice clears and room temperature rises.
If you have Control Type “B” or “C”:
Units with these control types have a deicer that will shut off the compressor and allow the fan to run. When the deicer senses the correct operating temperature, the compressor will cycle back on.
