l Good water quality is important for good ice quality. Try to avoid connecting the ice maker to a softened water supply. Water softener chemicals (such as salt from a malfunctioning softener) can damage the ice maker mokf and lead to poor ice quality. ff a softened water supply cannot be avoided, make sure the water softener is operating properly and is well maintained.

SOLUTION
l They break apart easily.
l Shake ice bin occasionally to keep cubes separated.
l Move ON/OFF lever to the ON (down) position.
l Ice maker will not operate until freezer is cokf enough to make ice. This could take overnight.

Store excess ice in a covered container.
l Water containing minerals (such as &fur) may require a filter. Try to avoid softened water supplies.
