For Non-Vented (recirculating) Installations

If it is not possible to vent cooking fumes and vapors to the outside, the hood can be used in the non-vented (recirculating) version, by fitting a charcoal filter and the deflector. Fumes and vapors are recycled through the top grille. See the “Assistance or Service” section for information on ordering.

Whirlpool GXW7230DAS Electrical Requirements, For Non-Vented recirculating Installations, Calculating Vent System Length

GXW7230DAS specifications

The Whirlpool GXW7230DAS is a powerful and efficient range hood designed to enhance your kitchen environment while providing exceptional performance and contemporary style. With an array of features and advanced technologies, it seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetic appeal.

One of the main features of the GXW7230DAS is its powerful ventilation system. Equipped with an internal blower, this range hood can deliver up to 400 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of airflow, effectively removing smoke, steam, and odors from your kitchen. This high airflow capability is particularly beneficial for kitchens that frequently engage in heavy cooking, ensuring a cleaner and more comfortable space.

The range hood offers a sleek design, available in stainless steel, which not only complements modern kitchen designs but also provides durability and ease of cleaning. The smooth surface helps resist fingerprints, making maintenance a breeze. Additionally, its under-cabinet installation saves space while positioning the unit conveniently above your cooking area.

Another remarkable characteristic of the GXW7230DAS is its variable speed fan control. Home cooks can choose from multiple fan speeds, allowing them to customize the ventilation based on the level of cooking activity. For light cooking, a lower setting suffices, while heavy-duty cooking can utilize the higher speeds for maximum efficiency.

The integrated LED lighting is another highlight of this model, providing bright illumination over the cooking surface. The energy-efficient bulbs enhance visibility while cooking and lend a modern touch to your kitchen ambiance. With a simple switch, users can control the lighting independently of the fan, promoting both convenience and efficiency.

One of the standout technologies in the GXW7230DAS is the dishwasher-safe grease filters. These filters effectively capture grease and particulate matter, protecting the internal components of the hood. Their removable design and compatibility with dishwashers simplify maintenance and ensure optimal performance over time.

In terms of noise levels, this range hood operates quietly, especially at lower speeds, promoting a more enjoyable cooking experience without excessive disruption. Overall, the Whirlpool GXW7230DAS is a blend of design, performance, and convenience, making it an excellent choice for homeowners seeking to elevate their kitchen’s functionality while maintaining an attractive appearance.
