Stopping/restarting your washer

If necessary, you can stop your washer during a cycle to add more clothes, or add fabric softener to the final rinse (see page 8).

l To stop the washer at any time, push in the Cycle Control Knob.

l To restart the washer, close the lid (if necessary) and pull out the Cycle Control Knob.

Selecting a cycle

Use the information in this section to help you make the best cycle selections for your wash loads. Each cycle is designed for different types of fabrics and soil levels.

Heavy Cycle

The Heavy cycle features high agitation and spin speeds.

l Use 14 minutes of wash time to clean large toads of heavily constructed fabrics that are moderately to heavily soiled.

Normal Cycle

The Normal cycle features high spin speeds to shorten drying time.

l Use 12 minutes of wash time to clean cotton and linen fabrics that are moder- ately to heavily soiled.

Permanent Press Cycle

The Permanent Press cycle features a cool- down rinse and low spin speeds to reduce wrinkling.

l Use 10 minutes of wash time to clean permanent press and some synthetic fabriis that are lightly to moderately soiled.

l The washer pauses briefly during the Permanent Press cycle. These pauses are normal for washer operation.

Knits/Delicate Cycle

The Knits/Delicate cycle features a reduced agitation speed for gentle soil removal. Low spin speeds reduce wrinkling.

lUse 8 minutes of wash time to clean delicate items and washable knits that are lightly to moderately soiled.
