CleaningthePumpandSprayArms

Yourdishwasheris designedto flushawayall normalfoodsoils that maynot havebeenremovedfromdishes.However,certain foreignobjectssuchasfruit pits,bottlecaps,andbonesmay collectin the openingsof the pumpandshouldbe removed periodicallyto avoidcloggingthe drainsystem.

CAUTION:ALLOWMACHINETOCOOLBEFORECLEANING!

PUMP

1.Holdlowersprayarmandturn towerbasecounter-clockwise to unscrew.

2.Liftouttowerandsprayarm.

3.Removeanyobjectsthat havecollectedin the pumpopenings or outlets.

4.Replacesprayarmbearing.Matchthe slot in the sprayarm withthe tab on the bearing.Replacetowerbaseandtighten securely.Thesprayarmandtowershouldrotatefreely.

DrainAirGap

Ifthe installerof yourbuilt-indishwasherinstalledan air gap in thedrainsystem,it shouldbe checkedperiodicallyto makesure it is clean.Air gapsareusuallymountedon the countertop or in the wallabovethe dishwasherandcan be inspectedby removingthe cover.

StorageandSeasonalUse

If yourdishwasheristo remainidleforextendedperiodsoftime,dothefollowing:

In FreezingTemperatures

1.Shutoffwalerandelectricalpower.

2.Removetheaccesspanelanddisconnectthewaterlineonbothsidesof theinletvalve.Allowwaterto drainfrom dishwasher’slines.

3.Connectwaterlinetovalveandreplaceaccesspanel.

4.Pourone(1) quartof non-toxic,propyleneglycolanti-freezeintotheemptydishwasher.

In Norma/or WarmTemperatures

Waterleftin thebottomofthetubmayevaporateinwarmtemperaturesleavingbehindmineraldeposits,Theseminerals couldcausethemotorshaftsealstosticktogether,resultingin motorfailure.Topreventevaporationofthewater,pourone

(1)quartof non-toxic,propyleneglycolanti-freezeintotheemptydishwasher.
