Add laundry load to washer.
Dry load levelshould not be higher than top row of holes in wash tub.
Do not overload washer.
o Do not put items ontop of agitator or wrap them around it. Loaditems
evenly.
Combine largeand small items ina load. Loadlarge items first. Large items
should not be more than half the total wash load.
When washing a single heavyitem, add 1 or 2towels to balance the load.
if desired, add liquid fabric softener to Fabric Softener Dispenser (some
models).
For models with abuilt-in dispenser (see picture to the left):
1. Add liquidsoftener to the dispenser,following fabricsoftener label directions.
2. Add water to bring liquid level to fill line on dispenser cap.
3. Removethe dispenser from the agitator after each use.Rinse both capand
cupwith warm water. Replacedispenser inthe agitator.
NOTE:To separatecapfrom cup, put thumbinto dispenser and push againstside
ofcup (seepicture to the left). After cleaning, push cap and cupfirmly together.
Replacedispenser by lining up theribs and grooves and snapping itinto position.
Fabric softener will be flushed from area under the built-in fabric softener
dispenserwhen LargeLoadWater Levelisselected.If a build-up offabric softener
occurs, dean with hot water. DO NOTREMOVE SERVICECAP.
For models with a removable dispenser (see picture below to the left):
I. Attach fabric softener dispenserto top ofagitator bypressing down gently.
2. Add softener to the dispenser,following fabric softener label directions.
3. Add water to bring liquid level to top of the peg in the center of the cup.
4. Remove the dispenserfrom the agitator after eachuse. Rinse both lidand
bowl thoroughly with warm water. Reassembleand place dispenser on
agitator or storeit nearby.
Formodels withouta fabricsoftenerdispenser, follow fabricsoftener label
directions. Add diluted fabric softener to the final rinse. Do not pour fabric
softener directly on the wash load.
Set cycle selector knob and washer controls according to type, size, and
soil level of each load, and detergent used.

9. Start the washer.
Close thewasher lid and pull out the cycle selector knob.The washer will not
agitate or spin with the lid open.
To stop the washer, push in the cycle selector knob.
Donot stop and restart washer during a spinwhen usingthe fabric softener
dispenser.
To change acycle, push in the cycle selector knob. Turn it clockwise to
the desired setting. Pull out the knob to restart the washer.
10. Remove items when the cycle is completed.
Foryour safety, the lid lockswhen the tub is spinning. Itwill remain locked for
about 1minute after the tub stops spinning.
Toopen the lid during a spin,push in the cycleselector knob and wait about
I minute for the lid lock to release.Do not force open the locked lid.
Placewashed items in automatic dryer, line dry, or dry flat asdirected by fabric
care label. Excesswrinkling, color transfer or odors maydevelop in items leftin
the washer after the cyclehas ended.
_To avoid serious personal injury,do not operate washer if safety lid
lock is missing or damaged.
