IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and/or personal injury.

1Read all instructions carefully.

2To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put grinder base, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.

3Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

4Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.

5Avoid contact with moving parts.

6Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any man- ner. Call our toll-free customer service number for information on examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

7The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer. It may result in fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.

8Do not use outdoors.

9Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.

10Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

11Check Grinder Bowl for presence of foreign objects before using.

SAFETY INFORMATION

This appliance has a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into theoutlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

SHORT POWER CORD

The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in, or tripping over, a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the grinder. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.

1Make sure the cover is securely in place before grinding coffee.

2Do not remove cover until blade has completely stopped.

3Do not attempt operation without ensuring that the cover is in place.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE

Carefully unpack your coffee grinder and remove all packing material. To remove any dust that may have accumulated during packaging, wipe the stainless steel bowl, blades and cover with a damp lint-free cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. Use extreme care as the blades are sharp. Never immerse the grinder base in water or other liquid.
