Fax via Computer

Note

It is recommended that you use Web Image Monitor running under the same network environment as this machine. Otherwise, the Web browser may not open and an error may occur.

Before Use

To use these features, a LAN-Fax Driver must be installed on your computer. Use the LAN-Fax Driver included on the scanner CD-ROM. You must also make the required network settings on the machine, according to the type of connec- tion.

Note

When a personal computer and the machine are connected in parallel: See “Preparing the Machine”, Printer Reference.

Using the Software

This section provides information about LAN-Fax Driver, Address Book, and LAN-Fax Cover Sheet Editor.

LAN-Fax Driver

This driver allows you to use LAN-Fax functions.

Important

All operations cannot be guaranteed depending on the system environment.

When you use Windows NT, LAN-Fax Driver will not work in an RISC base processor (MIPS R series, Alpha AXP, PowerPC) environment.
