Managing disc content (DVD+RW/+R only)
Title settings
You can change each title on the DVD+RW/+R to your personal preference in the title settings menu.
1Stop disc playback if necessary. In the Index Picture Screen, select the required title with w/v (down/up cursor).
2Press u (right cursor) to enter the title settings menu for that title.

3Use w/v (down/up cursor) to select the item you wish to change, then follow the steps as directed below.
Changing name of a recording
Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained above.
4Press u (right cursor) to select Name.
5Enter the new name.A name may contain a maximum of 64 characters.
●Use t/u (left/right cursor) for the position of the characters. Use w/v (down/up cursor) to change characters.
●Use SELECT to toggle between capital and lower case characters.
●Use CLEAR to erase a character.
6Confirm by pressing ENTER/OK.
Play full title
Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained above.
4Press u (right cursor) to select ‘Play full title.’ When this item is selected, the title will be played in full, including hidden chapters, beginning immediately. Follow the instructions on the screen. (See ‘Operation - Managing disc content - Editing’)
Erase this title
You may simply erase a title by recording over it, but if you want to erase the whole title instantly, do the following:
Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained above.
4Press u (right cursor) to select ‘Erase this title,’ then press ENTER/OK.
➤The message ‘This will completely erase this title,’ ‘Press OK to confirm’ is shown.
5Press ENTER/OK a second time.
➤‘Erasing title’ is shown until the action is completed.
➤After the title has been erased, the Index Picture Screen will show an empty space instead of the Title. If there was an empty space in front of or behind this title, then these are combined into one empty space. Empty spaces of less than one minute will not be shown.
Disc Information Screen
1When in the Index Picture Screen, press .
➤This selects the first title on the DVD+RW.
2Press v (up cursor).
➤You enter the Disc Information Screen.
3Press w (down cursor) to exit the Disc Information Screen and return to the Index Picture Screen.
The Disc Information Screen contains the fol- lowing information:
Compatibility status
-indicates compatibility of any edits with DVD players
Video system
-PAL or SECAM
-NTSC
Disc description - disc name
-total recording duration so far
-date of last recording
