Connection

Video connection

This unit equips three types of video jacks as follows:

1. VIDEO jack

This jack transmits conventional composite video signal. Connect this jack to your AV amplifier so that you can switch the both audio and video inputs at once.

2. S VIDEO jack

This jack transmits color and luminance separately and achieves high quality color reproduction. Connect this jack to your television using a commercially available S-Video cable. If your AV amplifier equipped with S VIDEO input and output jacks, connect to the AV amplifier so that you can switch the both audio and video inputs at once.

If your AV amplifier equipped with COMPONENT VIDEO input and output jacks, connect to the AV amplifier so that you can switch the both audio and video inputs at once.

After making this connection, change the black level for a better picture (page 16, Video—Black Level Control).

Note

Do not connect this unit to a television through a video cassette recorder. If you do so, the picture may not be played back properly due to the copyright protection technology incorporated in this unit.
