To listen to or watch a source on an external unit connected with this unit

1 Select the position of input source (VCR, LD/TV or TAPE/MD) you will play back by pressing the INPUT

SELECTOR or button until the corresponding name appears on the display.

*The names of input sources correspond with the names of terminals to connect with external units on the rear of this unit.

2 Play back the source.(For a video source, turn on the monitor TV.)3 Adjust the volume to a desired level by using the VOLUME control.

If you prefer, use the graphic equalizer and/or the sound field processor built into this unit.

To record a source to tape

Not only a source played back on this unit, but also a source played back on an external unit can be recorded by the tape deck, VCR, MD recorder, etc. connected with this unit.

1 Select the source you want to record by using the INPUT SELECTOR buttons.

2 Play back the source and then turn the VOLUME control up to confirm the input source.

3 Begin recording on the tape deck or VCR etc. connected with this unit.

Notes

cOnly when a karaoke mode is selected and one or two microphone(s) are connected to this unit, you can record your vocal input from the microphone(s) along with the source onto a tape (or MD) by using the tape deck, VCR, etc. connected to the TAPE/MD OUT and/or VCR OUT terminals on the rear of this unit. (Refer to page 43 for details.)

cIf the key level is changed when the built-in Video CD player is selected as the input source, sources are recorded with the key level changed.
