1.Remove the carburetor/air filter cover by pushing on the tab, located to the right of the cover (Fig. 7).
2.Swing the air filter cover open. It will swing on the hinges to the left of the cover (Fig. 8).
3.Remove the air filter (Fig. 8).
4.Wash the filter in detergent and water. Rinse the filter thoroughly and allow it to dry (Fig. 9).
5.Apply enough clean SAE 30 motor oil to lightly coat the filter (Fig. 10).
6.Squeeze the filter to spread and remove excess oil (Fig. 11).
7.Reinstall the filter and close the air filter cover (Fig. 7).
NOTE: If the unit is operated without the air filter, you will VOID the warranty.
