Installation – Mounting the Hood

! CAUTION: At least two installers are required due to the weight and size of the hood.
1.*Determine desired mounting location on ceiling and add wood blocking (min. 2” x 4”) onto ceiling joists. (FIG. A, #1)
2.Remove screws securing top and bottom support frame together. Adjust support frame to accomodate the desired height and
3.Fasten top support frame to desired location on ceiling using (4) M4 x
4.Remove the (2) metal mesh filters and the (2) black charcoal filter brackets located behind the metal mesh filters. Each bracket is secured to the hood with (4) Philips head screws. (Note: If hood is used in ducted mode the charcoal brackets may be discarded.) Place canopy over blower housing on top of hood and secure to hood body using (4) 3/16” x 8 screws. (FIG D, page 10)
5.Lift hood and align the (4)
6.Reinstall the (2) charcoal filter brackets (if recirculating) and metal mesh filters.
*Hood is intended to be mounted to a finished ceiling.
