Power Center Overview

The IntelliChlor™ system comprises of a Power Center and electrolytic Cell. The Power Center converts AC electrical current to a low voltage DC current required by the IntelliChlor electrolytic cell to operate and create chlorine for the swimming pool and spa. The Power Center is connected with the pool circulation pump electrical source so that the electrolytic cell only operates when the pool pump is on. It is recommended that a pool pump timer be used to save on energy and prolong the service life of your pool pump and IntelliChlor. A timer is not included as part of the Power Center kit. The IntelliChlor Power Center can be connected to an IntelliTouch or EasyTouch system for automation control.

The Power Center enclosure can be mounted vertically on a flat surface such as a wall or post no more than 15 feet away from the cell controller. The Power Center houses the transformer, fuse, and connector to the cell. 110 VAC and 220 VAC wiring is connected at this box, with 35 VDC output to the cell controller. A

8 AMP slo-blo fuse is mounted on the bottom of the enclosure for additional protection. There are no other controls or lights on the outside of the Power Center. A green power LED indicator is mounted on the inside main board. When the Power Center is switched on, the power LED is lit.

IntelliChlor Models

The IntelliChlor salt chlorinator system models are:

PC 100 (P/N 520556): Power Center Kit.

IC 20 Cell (P/N 520554): Designed for pools up to 20,000 U.S. gallons (75 liters), this cell will produce approximately 0.70 pounds of chlorine per 24 hour period. This cell uses two terminal blades and five bi-polar blades making this system more cost competitive.

IC 40 Cell (P/N 520555): Designed for pools up to 40,000 U.S. gallons (151 liters), the cell will produce approximately 1.40 pounds of chlorine per 24 hour period. This cell uses 3 terminal blades and ten bi-polar blades, five on each side of the center terminal blade. This will supply more than enough chlorine for almost any residential and many smaller commercial pools.

IntelliChlor pass-through cell (P/N 520588): For new pool start-up.

C20, C40 specifications

Pentair C20 and C40 are high-performance filtration systems designed for both residential and commercial applications. They provide water treatment solutions that enhance water quality while maintaining efficiency and ease of use.

The C20 model is specifically optimized for smaller applications, such as residential homes or light commercial use. It features a compact design that allows for easy installation in limited spaces. The system operates with a maximum flow rate of up to 20 gallons per minute, making it ideal for households with moderate water consumption. The C20 utilizes a multi-stage filtration process that includes sediment filtration, activated carbon, and UV sterilization, ensuring that contaminants and impurities are effectively removed from the water supply.

On the other hand, the C40 model is designed for larger-scale applications, catering to high water usage settings such as commercial buildings, restaurants, and industrial facilities. The C40 system boasts a greater flow rate of up to 40 gallons per minute, making it powerful enough to handle the demands of larger operations. Like the C20, the C40 employs a multi-stage filtration approach, but it includes additional filtration mediums to address a wider range of contaminants including chlorine, heavy metals, and microorganisms.

Both the C20 and C40 incorporate advanced technologies such as smart monitoring systems, which allow users to track filter performance and water quality in real time. This feature not only aids in maintenance scheduling but also ensures that the system operates at peak efficiency. The systems are equipped with user-friendly interfaces that provide alerts for filter replacement and maintenance needs.

Durability is another hallmark of the Pentair C series. Both models are constructed using high-quality materials that resist corrosion and wear, ensuring a long lifespan. The units also feature quiet operation, making them suitable for residential areas where noise can be a concern.

Overall, Pentair C20 and C40 represent a blend of technological innovation and practical design, providing users with reliable water filtration solutions that enhance their quality of life. These systems exemplify Pentair's commitment to improving water quality while being mindful of environmental sustainability. Whether for a home or a larger commercial entity, the C20 and C40 models deliver unmatched performance and efficiency.
