GENERAL SAFETY RULES

WARNING!

READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Fail- ure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

nRead the operator’s manual carefully. Be thoroughly famil- iar with the controls and the proper use of the equipment. Know how to stop the unit and disengage the controls quickly.

nNever allow children to operate the equipment. Never allow adults to operate the equipment without proper instruction.

nWear eye protection that is marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 standards as well as hearing protection when op- erating this unit.

nWear heavy long pants, boots, and gloves. Do not wear loose fitting clothing, short pants, jewelry of any kind, or go barefoot.

nSecure long hair so it is above shoulder level to prevent entanglement in any moving parts.

nKeep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 ft. away.

nKeep the area of operation clear of all persons, particularly small children, and pets.

nNever operate the cultivator without good visibility.

nThoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove all foreign objects.

nDo not operate the machine without wearing adequate outer garments. Avoid loose garments or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts of the machine or its engine.

nDo not operate the equipment while barefoot or when wearing sandals or similar lightweight footwear. Wear protective footwear that will protect your feet and improve your footing on slippery surfaces.

nDo not operate the cultivator while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

nDo not put hands or feet near or under tines.

nExercise caution to avoid slipping or falling.

nNever start or run the engine inside a closed area. Breath- ing exhaust fumes will kill you.

nNever pick up or carry a machine while the engine is running.

nKeep machine in good working condition.

nCheck all nuts, bolts, and screws at frequent intervals for proper tightness to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.

nNever store the machine with fuel in the fuel tank.

nKeep the unit free of grass, leaves, or grease to reduce the chance of a fire hazard.

SERVICE

nBefore cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, shut off the engine and make certain all moving parts have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire, and keep the wire away from the plug to prevent starting.

nService on the cultivator must be performed by qualified repair personnel only. Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result in injury to the user or damage to the product.

nUse only identical replacement parts when servicing the cultivator. Use of unauthorized parts may create a risk of serious injury to the user, or damage to the product.
