SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

2. Stop switch

The stop switch should be used to stop the engine.

3.Cutting attachment guard

This guard is intended to prevent objects from being thrown towards the operator and to protect the operator from unintentionel contact with the cutting attachment.

!WARNING!

Do not attach any blade to the unit without proper installation of all required parts. Failure to use the proper parts can cause the blade to fly off and seriously injure the operator and/or bystanders.

Under no circumstances may the cutting equipment be used without an approved guard fitted. See the chapter “Technical data”. If the wrong guard or a defective guard is fitted this can cause serious personal injury.

4.Anti-vibration system

Your machine is equipped with an anti-vibration system that has been designed to give as vibration-free and comfortable usage as possible.

The use of incorrectly wound cord or blunt, incorrect cutting equipment (incorrect type or incorrectly sharpened, see section “Filing the blade”) increases the level of vibration.

The machine’s vibration damping system reduces the transfer of vibrations between the engine unit/ cutting equipment and the machine’s handle unit.

!WARNING!

Over exposure to vibrations can result in blood-vessel or nerve injury to persons suffering with blood circulation problems. Seek medical attention if you experience physical symptoms that can be related to over exposure to vibrations. Examples of such symptoms are “numbness“, lack of feeling, “tickling“, “pricking“, “pain“, lack of or a reduction in normal strength, changes in the colour of the skin or its surfaces. These symptoms normally appear in the fingers, hands or wrists.

5.Quick-release

There is an easily accessible, quick-release catch fitted to the chest as a safety precaution in the event of a fire in the engine or for any other situation that requires you to free yourself from the machine and harness. See the section “Adjusting the harness and clearing saw“.

245 RX, 245R/RX specifications

The Husqvarna 245R/RX and 245 RX are robust and versatile handheld brushcutters, designed to cater to both professional landscapers and dedicated homeowners. Renowned for their efficiency and reliability, these models incorporate advanced engineering and innovative features that enhance performance and usability.

One of the standout features of the Husqvarna 245R/RX is its lightweight design, weighing approximately 11.5 kg. This makes it easy to handle and reduces operator fatigue during extended use. The ergonomic handle contributes to a comfortable grip and allows for precise maneuverability, making it suitable for tackling various landscaping tasks with ease. The adjustable harness further increases comfort and helps distribute the weight evenly across the body.

Equipped with a powerful 2-cycle engine, the 245R and 245 RX deliver impressive cutting power, ensuring that even the most challenging vegetation can be managed effectively. The engine technology includes advanced air injection, which effectively removes larger debris before it reaches the air filter. This ensures that the air filter stays cleaner for longer, reducing maintenance and extending the lifespan of the machine.

Another essential feature of these brushcutters is the Auto Return Stop Switch, enabling easy operation. It automatically resets to the ON position after each use, which simplifies starting for the next session. Additionally, the model comes with a well-balanced design, which further enhances control and precision while maneuvering around obstacles.

Both the 245R and 245 RX are equipped with a tap-and-go trimmer head, making it easy to release more line when needed without stopping the machine. This feature is particularly useful for maintaining a clean and tidy garden without interruptions. Furthermore, the cutting width is adjustable, allowing users to switch quickly between trimming and cutting thicker grass and brush.

The Husqvarna 245 RX version features additional enhancements tailored for more demanding applications. Its robust gearbox provides exceptional durability, while the increased fuel tank size ensures longer runtime, making it ideal for professionals who require sustained performance in extensive commercial environments.

In summary, the Husqvarna 245R/RX and 245 RX brushcutters combine lightweight design, advanced engine technology, and user-friendly features to deliver exceptional performance for both personal and professional landscaping tasks. Their reliability, ease of use, and versatility make them a top choice for anyone looking to maintain their outdoor spaces effectively.
