3.2SERVICE - AFTER FIRST 5 HOURS

3.2.1. CHANGE ENGINE OIL

This engine is equipped with two oil drain plugs. One drain plug is located on the bottom of the engine and requires a 5/16” allen wrench to remove. The other is located adjacent to the oil filter. It requires a 14mm socket to remove.

The simplest way to drain the oil is to tilt the mower on it’s side (carburetor side up). Remove the oil fill cap and allow the oil to drain from the filler tube into a shallow pan. Refer to the Engine Owner’s Manual for details regarding oil specifications, oil and oil filter change intervals.

WARNING

DO NOT attempt any maintenance, adjustments or service with engine and blade running. STOP engine and blade. Disconnect spark plug wire and secure away from spark plug. Engine and components are HOT. Avoid serious burns, allow sufficient time for all components to cool.
