COCl2 and SO2 Generator (see Picture 3)
1Unplug the external battery (COCl2 only).
2Loosen the 4 screws on the backside of the instrument and separate the two halves. (Use caution as the LED’s are attached to the top case)
3Remove the battery.
4Push back the 2 isolation tubes and unsolder the generator cell from the wires.
5Unscrew the clamp (KS) and push the generator cell backwards. Remove old generator cell.
6Insert the new generator cell and fasten the clamp.
7Solder the wires to the new generator cell (polarity of no importance) and push the isolation tubes back over the connections.
8Insert the battery.
9Close the housing and tighten the screws in the back. Reconnect the external battery pack.
Note:
)Whenever you have done maintenance work on a gas generator, test the function with a working gas detector. The detector should give an alarm within 10 seconds.
