Servicing

from accidental starting: Turn the Power Switch of the Engine to its “OFF” position, wait for the Engine to cool, and remove the Spark Plug wire before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

from equipment failure: Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise, vibration, or excess smoking occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.

Air Filter Element Maintenance:

1.Wipe off the Air Cleaner Cover. Then remove the Cover. (See Figure N.)

2.Remove the Air Filter Element.

3.Wash the Air Filter Element in warm water and mild detergent several times. Rinse. Squeeze out excess water and allow it to dry completely. Soak the Filter in lightweight oil briefly, then squeeze out the excess oil.

4.Install the new Air Filter Element or the cleaned Filter. Secure the Air Cleaner Cover before use.
