Maintenance

WARNING

 

 

To avoid serious injury, perform maintenance on

 

the unit only when the engine is stopped and all

 

moving parts have stopped. Always remove the

 

ignition key before beginning maintenance or

 

adjustments to prevent accidental starting of the

 

engine.

General Lubrication

 

 

Lubricate the snow thrower as shown in Figure 2. Where

 

an oil can is shown use 30 weight oil. Where a grease

 

gun is shown, use lithium grease. Lubricate the following

 

areas:

 

 

• Oil the chute deflector.

 

 

• Grease the chute ring gear.

 

 

• Grease the snow thrower-hitch pivot points.

 

• Grease the auger shaft grease fittings.
