4.Check oil level in the gearbox. Add as required.

5.Lubricate all grease points.

B.After operating for 5 to 10 hours:

1.Repeat items 1 through 4 of Section A.

2.Then go to normal Owner Service Section, page 16.

OPERATION

Each operator should review this section of the manual at the start of the season and as often as required to be familiar with the machine. When using, follow this pro- cedure:

1.Review and follow the "Pre-Operation Check List," page 15.

2.Review "Attaching Snowblower to Tractor" section, page 11.

3.Before going to the field, review "Transporting" section, page 14.

4.Position snowblower in a level area and lower into working position.

5.Starting Snowblower:

Be sure area is clear of all bystanders.

Run engine at low idle.

Slowly engage PTO control to start machine.

Slowly bring engine to rated PTO speed. Never exceed rated speed

6.Stopping Machine:

Slowly decrease engine speed to low idle.

Wait until PTO drive and snowblower have slowed to low engine idle speed before disengag- ing PTO drive.

„Before dismounting power unit or performing any service or maintenance, follow these steps: disengage power to equipment, lower the 3-point hitch and all raised components to the ground, operate valve levers to release any hydraulic pres- sure, set parking brake, stop engine, remove key, and unfasten seat belt.

„Before performing any service or maintenance, disconnect driveline from tractor PTO.

7.Do not operate with bystanders in area. The machine can pick up stones, sticks, wire and other debris and throw it out with enough force to cause severe injury or death to bystanders. Shut down machine and wait for moving parts to stop before approaching machine.

8.Ground Speed: Travel speed can vary between 1.5 and 8 mph depending on material and terrain con- ditions. It is the responsibility of the operator to note the condition of the job being done and set the speed to obtain proper feeding rate and maintain safe control of machine.

9.The PTO driveline is equipped with a shear bolt, Figure 6, that protects drive system components from shock loads if machine strikes an obstruction. See parts section for bolt size and grade.

10.Operating Requirements:

„Never direct discharge toward people, animals, or property.

Know where you are operating. Remove all unwanted trash and debris before starting. It can wrap around auger or be thrown out of machine during operation.

Keep auger and fan in good condition. Do not operate with a damaged fan or auger.

Do not allow the auger to hit and scalp ground during operation. Hitting ground will pick up soil or rocks that can be thrown out of machine.

To change direction of snow discharge, rotate the discharge chute. It will rotate 270°.

To move a discharge chute equipped with an optional hydraulic control, use tractor hydraulic control to direct discharge left or right within its 270° range. It will not rotate a full 360°.

NOTE: For hydraulic rotator option, if chute turns too quickly, adjust flow control on tractor hydrau- lics.

NOTE: Operating hydraulic deflector cylinder requires low tractor flow rates. When initially oper- ating cylinder reduce tractor hydraulic flow rate to

SB84S, SB54S, SB74S, SB64S specifications

Woods Equipment Company has established itself as a leader in the manufacturing of high-quality landscape equipment, and the SB series of landscape rakes—specifically the SB64S, SB74S, SB54S, and SB84S—stand out for their exceptional performance and innovative features.

The SB series is designed to meet the needs of both residential and commercial users. These models range in width from 54 inches to 84 inches, allowing for versatility in handling various tasks, whether you're maintaining a small garden or clearing a large lot. The difference in size also caters to different tractor sizes and horsepower ratings, making it easier for users to select a rake that fits their specific requirements.

A notable feature of the SB series is its durable construction. Built from high-strength steel, these rakes can withstand rigorous use in various environments. The rakes are further equipped with heavy-duty tines that are engineered to be resilient against breakage while providing optimal soil leveling and debris clearing performance.

The SB rakes utilize a patented Quick-Tatch mounting system. This system allows for fast and easy attachment and detachment from tractors, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity. Additionally, the rakes can be adjusted to various angles, enabling users to efficiently handle different tasks such as grading, levelling, or scarifying soil.

One of the key characteristics of the SB64S, SB74S, SB54S, and SB84S models is their ergonomic design. The rakes are built with user-friendly controls that facilitate operation. Operators can change the angle and height with ease, which contributes to overall efficiency while reducing the physical strain typically associated with manual adjustments.

The rakes also feature a heavy-duty frame that supports consistent performance across various job conditions, whether working on flat ground or uneven terrains. Enhanced stability during operation means users can trust that the rake will provide uniform results without compromising the integrity of the landscape.

Another technological advantage of the SB series is its versatility in compatible attachment options, which allows users to employ the rake for various applications beyond standard landscaping, including gravel leveling and road maintenance.

In conclusion, the Woods Equipment SB64S, SB74S, SB54S, and SB84S rakes offer a combination of strength, technology, and user convenience, making them essential tools for landscape management. Their wide range of sizes and features ensures that there is a suitable option for every need, allowing for efficient and effective work across diverse environments.
