TO ADJUST CARBURETOR

If you think your carburetor needs adjusting, see your nearest Authorized Craftsman Service Center. Engine pedormance should not be affected at altitudes up to 7,000 feet. For operation at higher eleva- tions, contact your Authorized Craftsman Service Center.

IMPORTANT: Never tamper with the en- gine govemor, which is factory set for proper engine speed. Overspeeding the engine above the factory high speed setting can be dangerous. If you think the engine- governed high speed needs adjusting, con- tact your nearest Craftsman Service Center, which has the proper equipment and experi- ence to make any necessary adjustments.

NOTICE: This spark ignition system meets all requirements of the Canadian Inteder- ence-Causing Equipment Regulations.

NOTICE: This engine complies with all cur- rent Australian and New Zealand limitations

Replace the spark plug if the electrodes are

pitted or bumed or if the porcelain is cracked.

TO ADJUST:

Clean the spark plug by carefully scraping the electrodes (do not sand blast or use a wire brush).

TO REPLACE:

If you need a new spark plug, use only the proper replacement spark plug (See page 14).

Set the gap to .030.

Before installing the spark plug, coat its threads lightly with oil or grease to insure easy removal.

Tighten the plug firmly into the engine.

If a torque wrench is available, torque the plug to 18 to 23 ft. - Ibs.
