56 Chapter 3 Option card and DIMM installation
2Remove the filler panel screw, and pull out the filler panel (or the option card to replace) from the slot as shown in the following figure.

3Lower the new option card into the slot, and then gently press the connector into the slot.
Seat the card in the slot. If you do not properly seat the card, it does not work.
4Replace the screw that secures the card to the slot.
5Replace the top cover on the chassis.
6Hold the cover at an angle, and then slide it onto the chassis.
7Use a screwdriver to insert and tighten the four screws that secure the cover to the chassis.
