4.2BIOS Beep Codes

Whenever a recoverable error occurs during POST, the BIOS causes the board’s speaker to beep an error message describing the problem (see Table 32).

NOTE

For Intel Desktop Board D945GCLF2, the beep code is only audible through a speaker connected to the green audio line out connector on the back panel. See Figure 3 on page 24 for information on the back panel audio connectors.

Whenever a recoverable error occurs during POST, the BIOS displays an error message describing the problem. Table 33 lists the error messages and provides a brief description of each.

The CMOS checksum is incorrect. CMOS memory may have been

Memory size has decreased since the last boot. If no memory

 

was removed, then memory may be bad.

 

 

No Boot Device Available

System did not find a device to boot.
