Faxing

Take control over digital documents.

The Activity Report lists fax transmissions and receptions, date and time of activity, number of pages, duration of activity, mode, and result—OK or NG (No Good).

Using the magicolor 2490MF as a Standalone Fax

The magicolor 2490MF provides standalone fax 33.6 Kbps Super G3 fax capability. For ease of use, the following time-saving features are available for sending faxes:

￿9 one-touch dials

￿9 group dials with 50 stations per group

￿100 speed dials

￿125 broadcast stations

Memory Reception

To ensure that the machine doesn’t run out of memory when receiving large documents, 4 MB of fax memory is available. This also allows one or more confidential faxes, up to a total of approximately 250 pages, to be stored in fax memory until a specified time (for example, 9:00 am) or until memory reception is turned off. A password can be set to specify the daily starting time and ending time for memory reception.

Fax Reports

Three types of reports about fax processes are available:

￿Activity Report—Can be printed manually or automatically after every 60 transmissions/receptions, listing their results.

￿TX Result Report—Can be printed manually, automatically after every transmission, or only after when transmission error occurs.

￿RX Result Report—Can be printed manually, automatically after every reception, or only when an error occurs.
