4. LEARN Menu

4.1Merriam-Webster’s Vocabulary Builder

This feature helps you enhance your vocabulary with explanations and quizzes.

1.In the Learn menu, press / to select “Merriam-Webster’s Vocabulary Builder” and then press OK /.

2.The words are grouped into units. Press / to select a unit and then press OK /.

A preview of the words in the current unit shows on the right of the screen when a unit is highlighted for about 3 seconds.

Press FN + / to go to the previous or next word.

If you want to hear the pronunciation of a word, press OK / to highlight

the first word on the screen. Use the direction keys to highlight the

word and then press

to hear it

pronounced. When done, press

or

to turn off the

highlight.

Press list to save the current headword in My Word List for further study or review. See 3.16 Adding Words to My Word List and 4.5 My Word List.

4.Pressto return to the list of words.

Searching

Press F1 [ ] to type a word for searching.

Press F1 [ ] to return to the list of units.
