11. Network setting

If there is no DHCP

Select Static and assign an IP address and subnet mask as prompted using the alphanumeric keys (see 4.4 Preparation: Using Alphanumeric Keys).

11.3.2Network setting on Station

1 Check that the network device is switched on and the firewall (if available) is switched off

2Connect the supplied Ethernet cable to the Ethernet ports on the network device and the Station

3On the Station, search for networks

a.Press MENU to enter the menu screen

b.Press the navigation controls 3 or 4 and 2 and 2 to enter Settings, followed by Network and Wired

c.Press 2 to continue.

4Follow Steps 4 in the above Network setting On Center

5 As prompted, select Yes to apply the settings

The Station is connected to the external wired network

On the display, the icon is changed to

Helpful hint:

You can connect the Center or Station directly to your PC using the supplied Ethernet cable and the Wireless Audio Device Manager (WADM) in the by-packed PC Suite CD. For details, see the manual Connect to your PC.

11.4Connecting to two different networks

WACS7000 can be added into two different networks via wired and wireless network port. Please refer to the advanced network setting section. But you must be careful that the IP addresses of the two network ports cannot be in one subnet.

IMPORTANT!

Once the WAC7000 Center is added into the Wi-Fi network, all Wi-Fi Ad- Hoc connections with the WAC7000 will be shut down.
