10.8 Remote access

Remote access allows you to operate your answering machine and listen to your messages by calling your SE245 from another phone.

The default setting is activated.

Call your SE245. When you hear your outgoing message, press #.

Enter your 4 digit PIN. The default code is 0000. You hear a confirmation beep.

Note

Change this code for increased security, see ‘PIN’, on page 38.

After entering your PIN, as stated above, use the keypad to operate your SE245 answering machine :

Use your handset or base speaker to hear a caller leaving

amessage.You can then choose to ignore the caller or pick up the call.

The default settings are :

Handset call screening : Off

Base call screening : On.
